The Pi Kappa Alpha - Beta Sigma charter was originally incorporated when Carnegie Mellon University was known as the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

Listed on the charter are our chapter's founding members who founded the Beta Sigma chapter on the fifth of December, back in 1921.

The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity has been a part of the Carnegie Mellon campus since 1921 and is considered the longest active chapter amongst greek life organizations.
